This is a birthday gift for our father-in-law that I spent the day making. I wanted to make him something unique and interesting. I thought painting the Maryland flag on the roof of a birdhouse would look cool. Both my husband and I graduated from the University of Maryland so I thought this would be a nifty gift. This took several hours to make. In particular it took a lot of trial error and repainting the roof because as it turns out the Maryland flag is quite complicated to draw. It isn't perfect, but its still pretty cool and I am really proud of it.
